Tax Table and ATO Tax Calculator discrepancy

Why does there appear to be a discrepancy between my software's tax calculation and the ATO's Tax Calculator?

When processing payroll with the software's latest tax tables, in some cases, there appears to be a discrepancy between our software's calculations and that of the Australian Tax Office (ATO) Tax Calculator.

This is because our software uses a consolidated approach to calculate the PAYG with the HELP/SFSS taxes, which is allowed by the ATO. Whereas the ATO Tax Calculator uses the base scale for PAYG and a separate scale for just the HELP/SFSS component. It then adds the two to get the total amount. Due to this difference, and due to rounding, there may sometimes appear to be a discrepancy.
